Dr. Reiner featured with Senator Kemp Hannon at a roundtable forum, organized by the state legislature in Albany, NY to discuss and examine the issue of a patient’s right to see a physician of their choice as it relates to having access to out-of-network insurance coverage.

Surgical procedures for the repair of inguinal hernias (the most common hernia type, affecting the groin) have advanced dramatically over the last 20 years. the newest trend employs intuitive surgical, inc.’s da Vinci surgical system, a robotic tool that allows for smaller incisions, greater precision, lower rates of complications, and quicker patient recovery time when compared to open inguinal hernia repairs.

Dr. Reiner was featured on the Discovery show “Mystery Diagnosis” during which he diagnosed a patient with a rare carcinoid tumor in her small intestine following years of unexplained symptoms. His diagnosis allowed the patient to receive proper treatment that ultimately saved her life.
